Art, the Loving Destruction of a World

​​An urgent group discussion about the relationship between art and pedagogy, facilitated by BFA students and New School faculty. We will focus on alternative philosophies of education and knowledge production in the wake of last semester’s strike and subsequent student occupation. This conversation is part of an ongoing effort to radically reimagine art education. How do we gather as artists, students and teachers, fellows, friends, in community? How can fine art become a hub for reshaping the New School? Can we imagine art worlds outside of the art market?

The discussion will be hosted by the Fine Arts Pedagogy Group. This is a working group of Parsons Fine Arts students and faculty focused on reimagining the relationship between art, life, and education within the New School University.
