Artist Statement

I use traditional materials to create the illusionary world I believe exists. This medium to me helps to evoke my own personal ideas of reality through the use of color and composition. The narrative can be strengthened by the constructed form of a stretched canvas, creating a window into my own mental world of physical interactions of reality by the use of my own gestures created by the use of brush and the color palette I decide. An illusion can be a temporal existence, but I make the presence of the illusion by using archival materials.
