Artist Statement

The basis of my body of work is inspired by how the organic world adapts to and changes with technology. Using sculpture, installations, and other multi media, I focus around the existentialism of the body, often specifically skin, in the advancing modern world. Ranging from humorous to disturbing, my work deconstructs the body, both physically and psychologically, in different mediums to explore the possibilities of the future of the organic. Not only is the physical body subject to change but the psychological space of these bodies are subject to change as well. By analyzing the boundaries between sentiment or physical bodies in relation to technology, my artwork addresses the fears and ecstasies involved in our ever evolving world.
