Fine Arts Graduate students present: Sex, Money, Trash

25 E 13th Gallery // November 15th to December 3rd

We are pleased to announce the opening of Sex, Money, Trash, a (Parsons graduate student) group show at 25 E 13th Gallery, debuting on November 15th and running till December 3rd. This show was curated by Ashleigh Abbott, Bel Andrade, Daisy Latham, and Gino Romero and features Ash Moniz, Ashleigh Abbott, Daisy Latham, Gino Romero, Mauve Martineau, Rengu Zhang, Shay Salehi, Zhiyi Zhang, Zoe Patricia Smith, and Zoe Fitzpatrick Rogers.

All of the works explore the value we as people place on the world around us via multimedia works that examine materiality and the importance we impart on them. By critically analyzing our relationship with everyday materials, such as cardboard, scavenged styrofoam, diamond powder, bolívares, hard candy, boxes and clothing (among others), each of these artists forces a moment of reflection on what they represent and how values are crafted in society.

Opening reception on the 15th of November, 6:30pm
