Tyhe Cooper

Tyhe Cooper is a writer working in experimental prose and poetry. They have curated and hosted poetry readings and site-specific ekphrastic performances with poets and performers from New York and beyond; in 2023, they hosted, alongside the Network for New York School Studies, a day-long symposium that gathered together poets and scholars from or related to the New York School of Poets, including Anne Waldman, Patricia Spears Jones, John Godfrey, and many others. Their work has been published in the Brooklyn Rail, the Poetry Project NewsletterPeach Magtrilobite.bond, and elsewhere. Recently they have participated in public conversations about the poet-artist Joe Brainard and took part in the reading that launched Brainard’s book, Love, Joe: The Selected Letters of Joe Brainard at the Poetry Project. They are the Production Editor at the Brooklyn Rail and the co-editor and co-creator of Leak magazine, with Erin Pérez.
