Blake Oetting is a PhD candidate at New York University and Curatorial Assistant at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection. His dissertation focuses on the development of institutional critique practices in the 1980s and 1990s. His published and forthcoming writing can be found in Artforum, Texte Zur Kunst, November, Flash Art, BOMB, and The Brooklyn Rail. He is currently a Helena Rubinstein Fellow in the Whitney Independent Study Program.
