Bea Ortega Botas, is a curator based in Madrid and a Curatorial Program Fellow at the Whitney ISP 2024/2025. She is the founder and co-curator of the poetry and theatre project Juf and the curatorial platform Yaby. She holds a degree in Art History and a Research Masters in Cultural Analysis (University of Amsterdam). She has facilitated exhibitions, study groups and live events both independently and institutionally in a range of international contexts; she also has an ongoing artistic practice in close dialogue with her curating, a practice that materializes in diverse forms such as writing, sculpture, drawing and sound performance.
