25 East Gallery’s last exhibition of the semester will be Un-Object, <Post-Objective Perspective>. The exhibition’s premise is to bring about a platform for the immaterial in art. Art that gives a space for that which is un-spatial, to provide a discourse around ideas of art beyond that of their object of facilitation. It aims to focus on aspects of art in the digital, the ephemeral, and the un-objective. A de-materialization that allows the conceptual to be autonomous from it’s residual object.
”Instead of attaching materiality to specific and finite forms, media or institutions, the conceptual places materiality in a broad and horizontal aesthetic field – multi-, inter-, and post- media where it is transformed into a virtuality that is actualized – but never realized in full.”
