Katja Eydel is a Berlin-based artist and Professor of Photography at the University of the Arts Helsinki. Working primarily with the medium of photography, her subjects range from politics to aesthetics with an eye towards the realities of social visions rooted in political upheavals, utopian moments, or traditional systems. Recent exhibitions include: Sanat Galerisi, Istanbul; MACBA, Barcelona; Museum of Modern Art, Warsaw; Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlin; Kunstverein Salzburg; Museum Ludwig, Köln, Migros Museum, Zürich; Generali Foundation Wien, Vienna, among others.
