Devan Shimoyama is a visual artist whose work explores depictions of the Black, queer, male body through the media of painting, sculpture, printmaking, and installation. His work has been exhibited in solo and group shows across the U.S. and in NYC at De Buck Gallery, Lesley Heller Gallery, and Kravets Wehby Gallery (New York), and internationally at Frieze London and the Fondation des Etats Unis, in Paris. His debut solo museum exhibition took place in 2028-19 at The Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh. Devan is currently full-time faculty at Carnegie Mellon University.
