Many things can spark the boldness of resistance. Natural disasters, episodes of mental or physical trauma, political turning points, and the transition – or distortion of a state of mind. In history, the ending and the beginning of a period in time is determined by particular instants of change, while as individuals, we determine mentally the stages of our lives according to personal experiences of significance. This exhibition seeks to explore those instances as a form of resistance, while daring viewers to disapprove and re-examine their initial perceptions. This curatorial project explores the shifting moment as a possibility and a new beginning, at a moment when the act of resisting is more prevalent and dire than ever.
