Pudenda reconsiders the female body (and its relationships to self and viewer) through a multimedia presentation of artwork by Molly Teitelbaum, Nikola Kravitt, Amal Khan, and Leah Schrager. We explore the continuum from clothed to naked, psychological to physical, objectified to objectifying, pride to shame, and censorship to freedom. Ultimately the works are about what it is to be female, conflicted, and thriving in the 21st century.
Parsons Fine Arts offer an exciting immersion in the world of contemporary art. Our goal is to familiarize students with the means, the context and the interpretation of art through intensive instruction in the manifold techniques that contemporary creators have at their disposal.
