Common Ground

25East Gallery is delighted to present Common Ground, a group exhibition that considers Earth’s finite resources in a celebratory and reverent manner. Showcasing assemblage and sculpture, alongside textiles, painting, and photography, the artists collectively underscore the many ways we encounter, utilize, transform, and repurpose what is given to us from the ground.

Looking to nature for inspiration, each work points to its steadfast assurance, graceful essence, and mighty resilience. The conservation of energy and matter from one form to another is reflected in works that carry a universal allegory, reminding us that we are all connected. Embracing this entanglement as a natural phenomenon, viewers are invited to revitalize their senses, rekindle their connection, and cultivate this common ground.

Featuring artwork (in order of appearance) by Mckenna Goade, Jayden Liu, Hila Mutsafi, Yeabsera Tabb, Danielle Sargeant, Aida Sulova, Emīlija Berga, Kasia Hope, Malaya Bengel, and Juana Vargas Moreno.

Curated by artist and curator Danielle Sargeant.
