Call For Submissions

1. Call for Exhibition proposals, 25 East Gallery, Deadline September 8

Please email your proposals to Matthew at villarrm@newschool.edu and cc me.
The proposal should contain:
1. Your name (curators/organizers)
2. The exhibition’s title
3. A list of at least 7 proposed participants who are currently Parsons BFA and/or MFA Fine Arts students
4. A one paragraph description of the concept of the showAbout 25East: This is a student-curated gallery and we will select the strongest proposal from those submitted. Each show runs for two weeks, opening on a Monday evening and running through the following Friday. Exhibitions must be deinstalled, and the gallery returned to its original state by Saturday at noon so that the following exhibition may be installed on Saturday afternoon and Sunday. 2. Call for Artist, MacDowell, Deadline September 15

MacDowell is looking to engage with cultural organizations serving diverse populations of artists. In reaching a wider variety of artists, we hope to position artist residencies as pathways to success and build cultural equity for all artists. Please help us in our mission by sharing information about our approaching deadline for MacDowell Colony residencies with your artists.

3. Call for Artist, Al Qasimi Foundation in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, Deadline September 31

About the Foundation

The Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Foundation for Policy Research was established in 2009 to aid in the social, cultural, and economic development of Ras Al Khaimah, a northern emirate in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Established through Emiri decree by His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, the Foundation is considered a non-profit, quasi-governmental organization.

The Al Qasimi Foundation seeks to generate a world-class body of research on Ras Al Khaimah and the broader UAE, develop local capacity in the public sector, and engage the community in its work. Initially focused on education, the Foundation has expanded its priority areas to include health and wellness, urban and community development, and arts and culture. Signature initiatives include competitive international research grants, teacher and student professional development programs, and the annual Ras Al Khaimah Fine Arts Festival.
