Ernesto Rivera, BFA Fine Arts student was recently selected as a finalist for the XXVII Eduardo Leon Jimenes Art Contest, a major art platform in the Dominican Republic. His art installation titled “Contra Uno” resulted from archive research and cultural history of materials. The experimental work is a multisensory experience with sound and video projection. Selection Jury Panel was composed by art curators E. Carmen Ramos (Smithsonian American Art Museum), Jose Luis Blondet (LACMA) and Emiliano Valdes (Museum of Modern Art of Medellin). “Contra Uno” will be on view until next April 28th, 2019 at @centroleonrd as part of a collective exhibition.
