Alumna Liliana Farber presents Beyond Codex: Living Archives at Center for Book Arts

I am very excited to invite you to Beyond Codex: Living Archives, an exhibition opening this Thursday, April 21 at Center for Book Arts (28 W 27th St, 3rd Fl). The show will run through Saturday, June 25, 2022.

Curated by Anthony Tino and Shahar Kramer, the exhibition focuses on strategies of the artist as researcher, highlighting the importance of archives and archiving as records of history, and as evolving spaces for inquiry and discourse.

I will be presenting a new artist book that compiles my research into non-existent islands that appeared in historical maps.

Participating artists: Michael Rakowitz; Mina Shoaib; Hardworking Goodlooking; Jumbo; Matjaž Tančič; Mindy Seu; Betsy Damon; Liliana Farber; Irmak Canevi & Marie von Heyl; Abie Franklin; T. Shanaathanan; Ai Weiwei, Xu Bing, & Zeng Xiaojun.

Hope to see you.
