Group Show

On Wednesday February 4, the 10th Forum Expanded opens its doors with the group exhibition “To the Sound of the Closing Door” in the Akademie der Künste at Hanseatenweg, where 19 works by David Askevold, Frederico Benevides, Pauline Boudry/Renate Lorenz, Jeamin Cha,Yu Cheng-Ta, Roy Dib, Martin Ebner, Antje Ehmann/Jan Ralske, Jeanne Faust, Mireille Kassar, Jen Liu, Eline McGeorge, Ho Tzu Nyen, Jenny Perlin, Constanze Ruhm/ Emilien Awada, Arthur Tuoto, Wendelien van Oldenborgh and Michael Snow are on display.


Starting at 7pm that night, films, performances and presentations by Heinz Emigholz, Harun Farocki, Constanze Ruhm, Michael Snow, Ala Younis, Friedl vom Gröller and CHEAP can be seen following a short introduction by the curators Stefanie Schulte Strathaus, Anselm Franke, Nanna Heidenreich, Bettina Steinbrügge and Ulrich Ziemons.

At 9:30pm, Lara Khaldi and Yazan Khalili will give a lecture performance entitled “Love Letter to a Union: The Falling Comrades” with films by Basma Alsharif and Jumana Emil Abboud.

This year’s video installation at the Marshall McLuhan Salon of the Canadian Embassy, “Fish Plane, Heart Clock” by Arvo Leo will be opened on Thursday February 5 at 5:30pm.
