Tiona Nekkia McClodden is a North Philadelphia-based visual artist, filmmaker, and curator who explores and critiques issues at the intersections of race, gender, sexuality and social commentary. Using an interdisciplinary approach traversing documentary film, experimental video, sculpture, and sound installations, McClodden’s themes include re-memory and narrative biomythography with a focus on Black queer genealogies. Venues include the ICA and Vox Populi Gallery in Philadelphia; the Whitney Museum and MOMA PS1, NY; MOCA LA; MCA Chicago; Kansai Queer Film Festival in Osaka/Kyoto, Japan; and the London Lesbian & Gay Film Festival.
