My work operates on the practice of digital architectural rendering; the work reflects on the body’s potential to transform space and be transformed by spaces. Using computer-aided design, I render images based of the parking lots, construction sites, and industrial parks in my hometown of Monroe Township, New Jersey. This practice is informed by Marc Auge’s notion of a non-place, as these quiet spaces operate in direct contrast to traditional notions of space: historical and relational. I identify with this non-place as they are alienating to me regardless of my individuality.
