Job Description

Use your powers in web design for good.  InsideSchools.org is the premier resource for children and parents looking to find out about their public schools.  We are seeking a creative and skilled web designer to assist with new projects and a redesign of the site.  This is a part-time position, 15-20 hours per week, with compensation dependent on experience.  The Web Designer will work closely with the InsideSchools.org team on tasks such as: web design, layout, creative assets (icons, buttons etc.), user interface and user experience design.  You will to unleash your creativity and use your design skills to the maximum!

Qualifications

The candidates should be able to bring their own laptop and have a command of the latest Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator software, but may choose their own tools depending on experience.   Organization, the ability to work in a team and the ability to communicate clearly are a must.  A working knowledge of HTML and CSS is also preferred.  Candidates should have a strong sense of typography, layout and color.  Any CMS or programming experience at all would be a huge plus!
