WHAT ATTRACTED YOU TO THE BFA PHOTOGRAPHY PROGRAM AT PARSON’S AND HOW’S IT GOING?
What attracted me to the program was the fact that Parsons’ photo program is a young yet quite up to date program with a contemporary agenda. It’s been going well for me. A great benefit is that I have the freedom to experiment in the program, a fact which I do not take for granted.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE CLASS AND WHY?
Independent study, because you can choose a faculty to work with. I feel for me the one on one format is the best way to improve my skills and knowledge.
HOW DID YOU FIRST BECOME INTERESTED IN PHOTOGRAPHY?
I have been dealing with photography for more than 10 years and it is a question I still can’t answer until today.
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN TEN YEARS?WHAT ARE YOUR PRIMARY GOALS?
I don’t know what will happen tomorrow so I cant really make any plans. In my point view there is something healthy to keep this question open. My primary goal is to be able to make a living out of my projects and my artwork.
WHAT KINDS OF THINGS SPARK YOUR IDEAS?
Failures.
WHAT INSPIRES YOU AS AN ARTIST? AND WHAT ARTISTS HAVE INFLUENCED YOU THE MOST?
I get excited whenever I come to a new place, a new environment. At the moment I am looking at Bruce Nauman’s works and some minimalist artists such as Carl Andre and Robert Morris.
