This project has been about creating and conjuring a world based off of my love for astrology. I wanted to imagine what each zodiac sign’s environment would look like. I have picked an astrology sign based on each of the four elements as an example out of the twelve for the splash wall. Aries fire, Cancer water, Virgo earth, and Gemini air. The color palette for the work was carefully chosen to reflect the personality of the astrology sign. Fire, red, pink, and orange. Water blue, aqua, white and creme. Earth, green, brown, yellow, and pink. Air, orange, blue, greens, purple. Aries is the first fire sign, often referred to as the baby of the zodiac, the ram. Cancer is a water sign, the helmet crabs are often sheltered and live close by the beach. Virgo is an earth sign, the maiden often appears shy and often detailed orientated. Gemini is an air sign, the twins with constant duality, and excellent communicators. The other four environment paintings are Sagittarius, Leo, Libra, and Scorpio. I also created four pendants with mythological animals as a symbol or crest to go along with the elements, phoenix, hippocampus, peryton and werewolf.
