The Anno design competition covers the following 7 design disciplines:-

Architecture
Graphic Design
Fashion
Illustration
Industrial Design

Some of New Yorks finest industry are on board judging the finalists: Yoko Fursho judging Illustration, Bohlin Cywinski Jackson judging Architecture, Interbrand for Graphic Design, Droog for Industrial Design, Chris Buck for Photography and one of New York’s finest fashion labels, Three As Four judging fashion.

It’s a fantastic opportunity for the students to showcase their latest work.

The winning entries will be published in an internationally distributed annual featuring the top student work from around the world and the exposure is great for all involved.

Entries deadline is November 28.

Timothy Marvin, a grassroots organizer with the Consumers Union passed along this contest opportunity…

The Consumers Union “Dangers of Debt” Cartoon Contest site is live now! Anyone 18-25 can go upload their submissions. The deadline to submit is November 3rd. The grand prize winner gets $1,000 and whatever exposure is provided through our campaign and media outreach.

Our panel of celebrity judges is made up of:

Tom Gammill is a TV writer whose credits include Saturday Night Live, Late Night with David Letterman, Seinfeld and Monk.  He’s been a consulting producer at The Simpsons since 1998.
He also has a comic strip that runs weekly in the Pasadena Independent and other small weekly newspapers.

Jen Sorenson is the creator of the award-winning alternative political comic strip Slowpoke.

Lalo Alcaraz is a Mexican-American cartoonist and multimedia humorist now best known for his daily syndicated comic strip La Cucaracha.

Announcing a Design competition
to create new design accessories
for the Chinese Dining Space.

The proposed ideas can be lamps, table cloth, stool, fruit platters, dishes,
bowls, trays, vases, chairs, salt and pepper shakers, coasters, magazine racks, and…
anything that falls under the category of Lifestyle accessories and/or Kitchen furniture.

The selected items will be produced and royalties will go to the designers.

Important Dates
• Opening of the Competition: October 01st, 2007
• Registration to the Competition: no later than October 19th, 2007
• Deadline for project delivery: November 30th, 2007

Graniph x IdN Design Competition

IdN 15th Anniversary Design Competition
3rd Episode: Universe
In collaboration with Graniph, “Universe” is the theme of the 3rd episode of IdN 15th Anniversary graphic competition; and here are the prizes on offer!

1 x Gold winner receives US$3,000.00
3 x Silver winners receive US$1,000.00
10 x Bronze winners receive US$100.00

*All winning designs will be considered to be reproduced in Graniph Tees! 

The Design T-shirt stores by Graniph were founded in 2001 and started a new era to fuse art and fashion through T-shirts as a media. Based in Tokyo they are creating Graniph inhouse designs, working with Japanese artists and copyrighters and also collaborating with artists, illustrators, photographers and typography designers, as well as movie and music productions from around the globe.
