WE NEED YOUR FACE, still.
If you were not able to make the studio times for our head shot collection this week, you will have TWO MORE opportunities next week. Both sessions will be held in the Fine Arts Building: 4th floor Installation Space, 25 East 13th Street, Adjacent to the Wood Shop.
Monday 5-9pm
Thursday 9am-12pm.
WE NEED YOUR BOOKS.
We are asking AMT Faculty to submit images of books that are being used as reference material in your classes such as theoretical or historical texts that are significant resources for your students or books that you feel are important to your field.
We are kindly asking for faculty to submit 3 books in either of two ways:
1. You can simply scan your images of book covers at 100% @ 200 dpi and send as jpegs to Lacie Garnes, garnesl@newschool.edu. Please also include scans of one or two pages of text from each book as well.
2. Drop off 3 books to Lacie in the AMT office, located on the 5th floor of 66 Fifth Avenue, and we will take care of the scanning for you. Books should be dropped off by Monday, April 19th at 5pm. Books will be kept in a secure location and be available for pick up the following Monday at 12 noon.
Thank you for your participation in this project. We know how busy everyone is at this time of the year and we appreciate your extra efforts.
WE NEED YOUR SOUNDS.
We are also soliciting sound work from AMT faculty, students and staff. Please submit sound clips, electronic music, sound art as mp3 and AIFF files. Deadline for submissions: Friday, April 23rd by 12 noon. Send files to : amtsymposium2010@gmail.com

Original Post:
In preparation for the Parsons FIVE SCHOOL SHOW in May, AMT will be collecting head shots (stills and video) of as many faculty, students and staff as possible. The concept for this project is “a portrait of our community”. Your participation in this project is requested.
The style of the portrait will be facing the camera, shooting from the shoulders up, white background, soft light. We want to shoot without the distraction of clothes, glasses or jewelry, so we ask that the participants wear clothing that allows for the ability to bare the shoulders below the camera. A towel will be provided to cover the body during shooting. The photo shoot will be in a private studio with just the participate and the photographer present. An example of this style of portraiture can be found at http://www.facity.com/
The location of the studios is: 66 Fifth Avenue, 3rd floor, rooms 300 or 301
The schedule for the week of April 12-16 is:
Monday 6-9 pm
Tuesday 6-9 pm
Wednesday 12:30 pm-5 pm (studio 404, 66 Fifth Ave.)
Thursday 9 pm -12 am
Friday 9 am -12 pm
Please contact Lacie Garnes (garnesl@newschool.edu) with any questions, or just show up during studio hours!
