Territory is looking for an intern or freelancer, Spring and Sumer 2015.

Ether a student or graduate would be great.

They will be working directly with our design director. we have some great projects slated for the summer and i think we could offer them some great experience. They don’t necessary need to have experience in the fashion beauty industry.

  1. Designer Position at TERRITORY

Territory Brands specializes in luxury, fashion, beauty, architecture, cultural, and corporate industries.

Strategy, Branding and Implementation.

The role of the Designer is to explore and conceptualize design options and solutions that maintain Territory’s vision and creative beliefs. The Designer will work either independently or in conjunction with Design Directors to evaluate design options, develop and push to find ‘big ideas’ based on design strategy and the creative brief.

Key Responsibilities

Actively engages with the design community; provide ideas and support for marketing

Takes responsibility for developing own skills and shares work across Territory

Understands the local aesthetic and culture when creating brands

Ensures all correspondence, materials, presentations, proposals, etc., seen by prospective and existing clients are error-free, of highest quality and always relevant to the client’s issues

Partners effectively with all departments to ensure delivery of on-time, high-quality deliverables that address all relevant prospective clients’ requirements

Communicates findings and recommendations in a clear and compelling manner in written, oral and presentation forms

Interacts in a positive, professional and motivating manner

Seeks out opportunities for personal creative growth by working outside area of expertise

Assists in electronic media research, design and developement

People and Team

Builds internal relationships with all practices; gains colleague and client respect as a designer

Connects strategy to the design process; assist in running a smooth account management process

Works to compliment and support other skill sets; recognizes the strength in teamwork

Develops an understanding of brand strategy

Experience Needed

0-5 years experience

Experience working with brands and/or Interactive Media

BA in Graphic Design or related studies

Proficiency in Mac and all Creative Suite Programs

COMMUNICATION DESIGN INTERN

Smart Design is seeking a Communication Design intern well versed in designing for screen, print, retail packaging and beyond to join our NYC studio. This role will work on a diverse range of design challenges from bringing brand experiences to life to screen and concept visualizations to storytelling.

Communication Design interns are natural visual communicators and will gain experience working with teams comprised of researchers, industrial designers, interaction designers and technologists on projects for clients ranging from fast-growing startups to some of the world’s most recognized brands.

Naturally, you have…

  • A degree (or pursuing a degree) in visual/graphic design/brand communication (or a related field)
  • Strong illustrator skills and well versed in Photoshop and InDesign (Motion is a plus – Final Cut Pro, After effects)
  • Solid layout and typography skills
  • Enthusiasm and passion for design, learning, sharing, and creating
  • Great listening skills
  • Works collaboratively and bravely
  • You aren’t afraid of sharing raw ideas or building on other’s ideas. You don’t hold your own concepts more precious that another’s concept.
  • You love working with, learning from, creating with, and sharing with a team
