Vibrant is seeking a Web Designer/Developer that will be responsible for the look and feel of their suite of online advertising products as well as the applications which support them. The ideal candidate will be able to conceptualize and design cutting-edge interfaces as well as possess the technical ability to turn those concepts into fully-functioning applications.
They are looking for someone that can:
• Work closely with members of all departments, primarily Marketing and Technology, to gather project specs and deployment procedures
• Create dynamic interfaces fed by live, server-generated content or XML
• Maintain existing products by implementing new features and fixing bugs as needed
• Build “custom creative” Flash banners to display advertising content, websites, microsites, and jump pages
• Design and build prototypes and demos for new or existing products
• Design application GUIs and work with the Technology team to implement
• Create, update, maintain and improve Vibrant corporate websites
Skills you will need to be successful in this role:
• 2+ years of experience
• Software Skills: Dreamweaver, Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, Visual Studio
• Technical Skills: JavaScript, ActionScript, HTML, CSS, XML, JSON, Interface Design, mySQL
• A strong portfolio showing a balance of design and development
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills
• Ability to integrate dynamic content such as RSS Feeds and search API results into a web page or Flash application
• Ability to optimize graphics for efficient load-times
• Experience with file source control software such as VSS or CVS
• Understanding of and experience working with dynamic animation tweens in JavaScript or Flash
• Experience building designs and applications which act consistently across all browsers and platforms
• Understanding of Flash/JavaScript interactivity
• Understanding of video compression/editing, Flash Video, Macromedia Flex & Flash Media Server a big plus
• mySQL database experience a plus
• Preferred experience with server-side technologies such as .PHP, .ASP, ASP.NET, AJAX, MySQL, and SQL Server
• Bachelor’s degree
