Start date: End of May or beginning of June 2011
End date: mid-August (total 10 weeks)
Payment: Stipend based upon experience and education
Work schedule: 40 hr/week, Mon-Fri
Eligibility: Open to all graduate students

Position description:
Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center is looking for a Summer Innovation Lab Intern. The candidate would have a strong personal interest in working in the health care field with a demonstrated ability to utilize empathetic design research and development methodologies creatively through client based projects.

Summer Innovation Lab Interns will be paired in graduate and undergraduate project teams. Potential projects include patient education/communication design and patient experience/service design with a technology component.

Knowledge + Skills:
· Knowledge of Communication Design, Human Factors, Interaction Design, Service Design, Graphic design
· Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (i.e. Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) web skills a plus.
· Good communication skills and an ability to work collaboratively
