IN NEED OF HELP: operating openFrameworks-based live video compositing software. C++ experience.

PROJECT BRIEF: As part of a larger installation that explores youth and youth culture as commodities and scarcity resources, I’m producing a narrative video that will involve dynamically compositing live actors with existing assets.

SEEKING / QUALIFICATIONS:

– An artist or programmer who can help me operate open source video software – Someone who is comfortable working with C++ and openFrameworks

RESPONSIBILITIES:

– Independently learn the software – Integrate the software into production work-flow – Test the software and think through its use during the shoot – Operate the software during the shoot – Think through any potential issues with post-production/editing

GOAL: Deploying real-time compositing software during a video shoot in late July or early August.

TIME-LINE:

– Pre-production: Now-mid-July – Video shoot: late July-early August – Post-production: August

COMPENSATION:

– My budget for the project is fairly small – In exchange for time, I can offer a modest fee and an artwork in trade – You would also receive a production credit in the video and on any associated materials
