LES Gallery Seeks Help With Website Updates

Scaramouche, a young gallery on the Lower East Side showing burgeoning (and very busy) interdisciplinary artists, is looking for someone to update the gallery website, which is built in Dreamweaver. Typically there are general updates to the site twice per month. These updates are not major changes, but rather uploading additions to artists’ resumes, new images, new text on upcoming shows, etc. While there are rarely ‘urgent’ updates, they do like to see changes with a turnaround time frame of about one week.

This is a great opportunity, not only from a computer-design perspective, but also an opportunity to be involved in the inner workings of an arts organization. The applicant would be completely integrated into the gallery team. They host events monthly with noted journalists, critics, writers and artworld personalities in attendance. Furthermore, the applicant will have the opportunity to interface directly with our artists and curators.

They are looking for someone dependable, available, and perhaps most importantly, someone who would like to get involved with a progressive downtown art gallery (and all of its fringe benefits: contacts, experience, etc). This is an on-going paid position, with salary dependent upon experience.
