Parsons graduate photography students will put their best image forward on August 19 when the MFA Photography Thesis Exhibition, Graduate Works in Photography, opens to the public. The exhibition includes work of 14 students and represents the culmination of two years of intensive theoretical and studio training.

The works on view represents a range of styles and aesthetics, developed through three intensive, eight-week summer residencies and two years of independent studies. Students work collaboratively on assignments while developing their own aesthetic, graduating with an accomplished portfolio and the technical skills they need to become successful photographers.

The exhibition will be on view August 19-September 11 in the Arnold and Sheila Aronson Galleries at the Sheila C. Johnson Design Center, 66 Fifth Avenue, Ground Floor. The galleries are open to the public everyday from noon-6:00 p.m. and until 8:00 p.m. Thursday evenings. For more information, please visit www.newschool.edu/parsons/thesis.

The opening reception will be held Wednesday, August 25, 6-9pm at 66 Fifth Avenue, Ground Floor.
