Infinite Repetition of Revolt (collaboration with Josiah McEhleny)
The Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston, 100 Northern Avenue, Boston
Saturday, Saturday, October 6, 1:30 and 3:00 PM
Blurring the lines between visual art and performance, The Infinite Repetition of Revolt incorporates work on view in Josiah McElheny: Some Pictures of the infinite with a bold oration of texts by 19th-century radical socialist Louis Auguste Blanqui and 20th-century Marxist Rosa Luxemburg. In this collaborative performance, a local actor presents audiences with an opportunity to reflect on an era much like our own: a time when revolution seemed imminent, rather than optional. Performed by Maggie McBrien.
