The Rare Book, Manuscript, and Special Collections Library at Duke University is acquiring AMT Photography Adjunct Instructor Vince Cianni’s photographic archives to “ensure the preservation of the documentary record created” throughout his career as a documentary photographer.

The RBMSPL will collect, archive, and make available for study all negatives, contact sheets, printing notes, written comments, and prints of the documentary photography work Mr. Cianni completes during his lifetime. The archive will also include darkroom equipment and written material pertinent to the photographs including notebooks, journals, tape recordings and correspondence.  Some of the projects that they have acquired to date are We Skate Hardcore, Berlin, Wedding Rituals, and a series of early street portraits.
