Photo FEAST: A collective of photographs at Parsons. Our mission is to create a platform for interdisciplinary projects, exhibitions, and publications.
There is a sense of urgency to represent new perspectives and emerging insights of young artists, and non-artists alike, working in the visual and media arts and beyond. In the current conditions of contemporary art, different modes of advancing technologies, such as the Internet, play an influential role in shaping the way art is created, presented and interpreted. It is also serves as a space for blogs, image archives, online publications, etc. In response to emphasize these ideas, PhotoFeast will host lectures, workshops, panels and various events to generate in-depth conversations.
The Block Party Collective: We are The Block Party Collective, a Creative Collective uniting BIPOC (Black Indigenous People of Color) students across majors at The New School. Our mission is to unify BIPOC students to engage in cross disciplinary collaboration. We shall organize an exhibit to share the work of BIPOC students in hopes to provide them with opportunities within the Art industry. It is important for creative People of Color to have a space to unite within The New School as it provides a chance for the work of people with various cultures to be demonstrated in our institution.
