Anni Fang
Anni Fang is a photographer raised in Shanghai, China and residing in New York City. Anni received her BA in Business Economics from University of California, Irvine. After she graduated from college, it took her a year to get herself thinking about the future career she really wanted. She decided to pursue her photography dream and moved from California to New York, and she is currently a MFA student at Parsons. Most of Anni's work are inspired by her current life and her own past experiences. In 2020 she created a project about the global pandemic and documented the physical and mental effects of isolation. In 2021, she created a project to analyze why people die from a biological and philosophical perspective. This year, she utilized her own experience as a highly myopic patient to simulate the world as she sees it. In the future, she will keep creating works around her thoughts about the world and what she has heard or experienced.
