Dreams are a place where time doesn’t exist and places are limitless, and to reflect on ourselves is an important thing to keep in mind. Combining dreams, daily reflections and responses was the source of my inspiration. Everytime something interesting comes to my head I immediately write it in my notes, and sometimes if I’m lucky I would instantly be able to have a vision on how it would look visually in the world. That is when I finally was able to produce the three pieces that I think are true for my thesis project. It is a direct response to my thoughts translated with mixed media, vivid colors, and found objects such as yarn, old magazines, and left over art supplies with a mission to repurpose them in my pieces. I hope to create a feeling of lucid dreaming in real life and take whoever that sees my pieces to a familiar yet unknown place that they could relate to and perhaps enjoy.
