A series of fifteen fine-line drawings that explore nature’s most lethal plants and herbs, as well as exploring Memento Mori imagery.

I have always been intrigued by the idea of death, the many forms in which it comes, and the ways in which humans often respond to the topic. Artistically, I am extremely inspired by the heightened level of detail and linework that can be found in old etchings and engravings, and I felt that that style of working fit perfectly alongside images of poisonous plants and mortality. I composed these designs keeping symbolic imagery in mind, especially when considering memento mori imagery, such as skulls/bones, timepieces, poisonous plants, and many more.
