Ruby and the Pink Lake

A girl on an adventure to feeling at home.

For my thesis project, I have created an illustrated picture-book made up of 40 pages total, including the cover. I developed an original story around a painting I made at the start of the semester. Ruby and the Pink Lake has dreamy overtones that encompass much of the storytelling with hope as the glue that holds it together. It is meant to represent the how easy it is to feel alone in such a big place –  finding yourself, a place where you belong, and to feel loved.
