A series of portraits that explores themes of self-expression and vulnerability in women.

The characters I draw are primarily women, I have been long inspired by the delicate nature of femininity and a certain level of vulnerability that comes with it. The women I draw have a sense of duality to them, there is an intensely morose quality yet an unmistakable nonchalance present as well. They also look very idealized and glamorous, this makes it appear as if they are on display and that the viewer is ‘watching them’ showcase their vulnerability.
