  • Reflection is a short animation about women's self-conscious perception of her own body image and how it changes as she ages.

  • “It wasn’t your fault; you’re just fine,” is a simple sentence to say. Sometimes, however, it is hard to tell oneself it is okay not to blame yourself. As a woman grew up in a society where people have high expectation on women’s appearance, it is easier for her to feel anxious accepting herself as she is. The anxiety builds up and follows her everywhere she goes, affecting her perception of her own body image. Sometimes it gets worse when she realise the glamorous beauty of youth recedes as she ages. Reflection is a short animation about women’s self-conscious perception of her own body image and how it changes as she ages. The animation is composed of 3D stop motion animation, which covers the protagonist in present timeline, and 2D frame by frame animation, which is about the woman’s memory of her past.
