A series of images based off interviews with immigrants.

As a child of immigrants, I was interested in learning about the different circumstances that cause people to leave their birth country and how their views of a national identity is formed. Because each story is so different from each other, I wanted to make sure this would translate through the images. Each piece was approached with different mediums but some are tied through the use of paper cut-outs and watercolors. I wanted to create an effect that felt like a patchwork of memory based on the conversation with each person.
