Encounterings

Encounterings is a series of six visual narratives in multiple storytelling formats that focuses on experiences of self – reflection.

Encounterings articulates moments of intimate spaces, personal experiences and arbitrary thought through experimental forms of storytelling. The picture books I made vary from linear to abstract narratives in order to realistically depict a different experience for the viewer. Each book represents my perspective of life’s various forms of an encountering. Unintentionally, I developed a body of work that has become a self-portrait.
