Wanderlust is the latest initiative of a creative collaboration between the East River Ferry and United Photo Industries (UPI), which includes last year’s exhibition, Drawn to Water.
Proud to have been a strong partner and supporter of Photoville, the East River Ferry continues to devise new ways of expanding upon its core product in order to make it a more enjoyable experience for all its riders. We just de-installed our 1st round of exhibitions which included the work of Tiina Itkonen , Sam Polcer & Dougie Wallace, which were on view since August 15.
For the second round of exhibitions running from October 20 to November 30, we are proud to present the work of: Jason Florio, Chris Burkard & Restless Collective.
For some, it’s in the blood, a part of their DNA. They’re always thirsty to explore, and to see what lies beyond that next hill. Some have traveled to claim land or seek riches; others for elbow room and the chance to encounter diverse cultures. Today’s modern modes of transportation have made it simpler to seek far reaches and remote pockets of the world, but wanderlust—our desire to travel—remains unquenched. As the great Scottish novelist Robert Louis Stevenson once said, “For my part, I travel not to go anywhere but to go. I travel for travel’s sake. The great affair is to move.” So join us as we set off on a journey—through the eyes of these talented photographers of a world that is forever moving, always keen to go just a little bit further, and a little bit higher.
