Taeyi Kim is a curator, researcher, and writer based in New York. She is currently the Curatorial Fellow at the New Museum. Prior to joining the Museum, she held a curatorial position at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, where she worked on The Shape of Time: Korean Art after 1989 (2023). She previously worked at Kukje Gallery in Seoul, contributing to projects including Robert Mapplethorpe: More Life (2021) and Jenny Holzer: IT’S CRUCIAL TO HAVE AN ACTIVE FANTASY LIFE (2021). Her writing has appeared in publications such as The Brooklyn Rail, ArtAsiaPacific, and The Amp. She is the recipient of the AHL–Grace Charity Foundation Research Fellowship and the Korea Foundation Fellowship. Kim holds a BA in Sociology from Korea University and an MA in Art History from Ewha Womans University in Seoul.
