Parsons alumn Joiri Minaya is the recipient of the Emerging Artist grant from the Rema Hort Mann Foundation. Through a closed-call nomination process, which included over 50 distinguished NYC-based curators and arts professionals, 100 artists were invited to apply for the grant. An independent jury selected the eight grant recipients through a competitive selection process.

Since 1996 the Rema Hort Mann Foundation has awarded the Emerging Artist Grant to cutting-edge visual artists in the greater New York City metropolitan area. The goal of the Emerging Artist Grant is to support an artist at a critical time in the development of their practice.
