2. Call for Artist, India China Student Research Grant, Deadline October 7

Up to 6 (six) $3,500 grants are available for undergraduate or graduate students to support an independent study project, or to defray the cost of attending a New School program in India or China. The field visit has to be taken by the end of summer in the current academic year (before fall of following year). The funds can be used towards expenses such as airfare, local transportation, room and board or interpreters. You can read about past Student Fellows experiences on their blog here.

3. Call for Artist, AIM Fellowship Program, Deadline October 9

The Bronx Museum of the Arts is accepting applications for the 40th cycle of the AIM Fellowship program. This is an excellent opportunity for alumni to receive career coaching at no cost. A number of our most successful participants have come from your impressive studio program and we hope to see more apply. The application deadline is October 9. Applications for the 40th cycle of the Bronx Museum’s AIM Fellowship program will be accepted through October 9, 2019 via online application. 4. New School Student Research Award Competition, Deadline October 15

We are very pleased to let you know about the fourth round of the new university-wide competition for student research funding (broadly defining research to include the full scope of scholarly, creative, and professional practices covered across the colleges of The New School). This fund is co-sponsored by the University Student Senate and the Office of the President and administered by the Provost’s Office of Research Support. 6. Call for Curators, Apex Art Open, Deadline October 31

 

A big part of Apex Art’s programming revolves around its Open Call, an open opportunity for anyone—regardless of experience or location—to submit an idea for a group exhibition at apexart. All submissions are anonymized and randomized for review by an international jury of over 350 arts professionals and others. Three winning proposals will receive a project budget of $10,000 and apexart staff support, to become part of apexart’s exhibition season for the coming year.
