Lenore Malen is an interdisciplinary artist and professor in the Art/Media/Technology Program at Parsons/The New School, based in New York. She is perhaps best known for her dystopian works exploring virtuality and the post-human as well as her creation of The New Society for Universal Harmony, a fictionalized utopian society supported by a written manifesto, pseudo-documentary photos, and other archival documents, displayed at various international exhibitions. A recipient of a Guggenheim Foundation Fellowship, Malen is also an art critic and the former executive editor of the College Art Association’s quarterly publication Art Journal.
