Jackie Brady (b. Cleveland, OH) is an artist and writer whose work concerns how media, mediation, and technologies shape sensibilities and conditions for relation. She is inspired by the interplay between artifice and intimacy, and the materiality of image, language, and gesture in experimental film and performance. Her videos, performances, and installations are composed of fragments of data iterated through projection, screens, body and voice, dust, and text as interfaces. Jackie is engaged in her practice as a continuous response to that which is simultaneously closest yet most distant, felt and experienced without resolution.
