Wave Hill, a 28-acre public garden and cultural center in the Bronx, is seeking volunteers for its 50th Anniversary celebration, Night Lights at Wave Hill.

Wave Hill will be open in the evening on select dates from April 24–May 24 and will feature a spectacular sound and light installation by award-winning artist Chris Doyle. Doyle’s The Lightening: a Project for Wave Hill’s Aquatic Garden combines rear-projected animation, light and sound in the serene space of the Aquatic Garden. The gardens will be open from 6:30PM–9:30PM on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays during the month-long commemoration.

Volunteers are needed during the evenings to help with crowd management, greeting and ushering visitors. We are also seeking daytime volunteers for greeting and administrative assistance. We ask for a commitment of a minimum of two days/evenings over the course of the celebration. There will be an orientation/information session in early April prior to the opening.

Volunteers should contact Nancy Kelly at Wave Hill for more information or to sign up. She can be reached at 917.564.8326 or nancyk@wavehill.org.
