VSA Partners in SoHo is offering a summer internship for a design student interested in learning about digital communications of all types – from integrated marketing campaigns to corporate and e-commerce websites. Details below.

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a talented Digital Visual Design Intern for our Summer Internship Program. This intern will work in our SoHo office (formerly Tender Creative.) in New York City.

Working closely with a creative director as your supervisor and a senior designer as your mentor, you will:
Contribute to the exploration, conceptual and visual development, and execution of design directions
Collaborate with Designers and Design Directors who will guide your work and invest in your growth and development as a designer
Work with the creative team to learn the fundamentals of design production — creating specifications, marking up files, releasing jobs to printers and developers
Assist the creative team in layout and color explorations, scanning, and photography searches
Make edits to documents and help to prepare comps, mood boards and client presentations
Work with the creative team to learn about art direction of photography and illustration
Work with others in account management and technology/development to get a more complete understanding of overall process

Requirements:
Currently a junior undergraduate student from an accredited university or design school
Have a strong passion for the possibilities of digital communication and interaction and an ability to demonstrate a clear “point-of-view” relating to your design
Work well in a very team-oriented culture
Strong technical knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator

Summer Internship Program will be 40 hours/week, on-site
Paid internship with hourly rate
