The Department of Art and Art History at University at Albany is accepting applications for 2016 MFA and MA programs in Studio Art.

Regular studio visits with faculty, peers, and visiting artists give rise to critical insight into the form of, and underlying ideas behind, students’ work. Contemporary art-related topics and issues are explored in seminars that complement studio courses and critiques. In this affordable, interdisciplinary program, students work across Painting and Drawing, Printmaking, Sculpture and Installation, and Photography and Related Media, and are given 24-hour access to spacious, private, and semi-private studios and well-equipped common work areas and production facilities.

All students in the highly competitive, 2-year, 60-credit MFA program are offered Teaching or Graduate Assistantship funding.
